A 2-in-1 Color Measurement Instrument

The X-Rite eXact Scan is both a handheld densitometer/spectrophotometer and a scanning device! It is a critical part of a complete color management ecosystem that ensures color consistency and repeatability across the entire color workflow. eXact Scan is ideal for use in offset, digital, flexo, prepress, inkroom and other environments where exceptional color control is a necessity.

Measure a wide range of different color bars

The X-Rite eXact Scan spectrophotometer is a next-generation handheld color measurement solution that measures a 100cm/40” color bar in less than 10 seconds, capturing density, spectral color values, dot gain and more. It’s easy to use and can be configured to meet the needs of multiple operators with automated presetting that avoids potential for error and ensures standards compliance.

Patented Zebra Wheel Drives Speed, Productivity

Integration of the patented Zebra wheel into the eXact Scan gives operators complete, untethered freedom of measurement. As the user moves the instrument, it counts stripes and calculates how far and fast the operator is moving, tracking the position along the bar. With other instruments, users must move at a reasonably repeatable speed across the whole series of patches, not too fast or slow, in order to get an accurate measurement. Integrating this X-Rite patented technology into the instrument is a significant advance in accuracy and productivity.

When used with NetProfiler, eXact Scan can manage and monitor color performance at an enterprise level, providing consistent quality measurements across shifts, departments and sites. eXact Scan supports all of the leading print specifications, including ISO, Japan Color, G7, and PSO, allowing printing and converting businesses to efficiently monitor color processes.

eXact Auto-Scan Pro Software

eXact Auto-Scan Pro Software is designed for modern, data-driven packaging and commercial workflows that turns the scanning system into a full quality-control hub.

ColorCert Integration: Its "outstanding feature" is the ability to communicate directly with the ColorCert Scorecard Server. It pulls job data automatically and pushes a "Quality Score" back to the server with one click.

Zero-Mistake Setup: It can automatically load job targets from the server, preventing operator error during setup.

Advanced Certification: It is a certified G7 Press Control system, making it much easier for printers to maintain G7 Master Status and provide the data logs required.

Enhanced Data: Includes deeper configuration options, such as the ability to customize decimal places in SVF files and handle complex color naming conventions.

The M-Factor Difference

The eXact Scan enables a simultaneous scan of M0, M2, M3 with a single pass in less than a second. A simple toggle switch places the instrument in M1 measurement mode to account for optical brighteners/fluorescing agents in both substrates and inks according to ISO standards, matching D50 (Daylight) in the entire visible spectrum and conforming to the UV range metamerism index specified in ISO 3664. The combination of these capabilities in a single instrument is unique and not only delivers more accurate measurements but saves significant time in the measurement process. Other devices with D50 simulators (M1 Part Two) offer less functionality while using a true D50 source is good for measuring and reporting the impact of the standard graphic arts illumination on any material with any kind of fluorescence.

Free Shipping
Free shipping applies to orders over $900 and under 40lbs dimensional weight of the shipping box. Paint and replacement lamps are excluded. Free shipping is available to the contiguous 48 US states and for online purchases only.
Fulfillment
We make every effort to get your product delivered as expediently as possible. Orders placed after 12:00 PM MST may not ship that day. RPimaging, INC may not have all items in stock. Our online store does not provide real-time stock availability. Please call to confirm stock before placing an order. Orders placed by international checkout button are fulfilled by FedEX Cross Border.
Domestic Shipping
RPimaging, INC does not guarantee any delivery time. Shipping terms (i.e. 2nd Day, 3rd Day delivery) refer to the time quoted by the shipper for delivery. These shipping terms do not refer to time from order submission to delivery. Shipper tracking numbers are provided, when available, the day after the product has shipped. Economy and Free shipping options are limited to the 48 contiguous US states. Freight shipment and packages over 40lbs are excluded from Economy and Free shipping offers. Customer purchase orders with payment terms are excluded from free shipping offers. We reserve the right to rescind Economy and/or Free shipping offers for any reason. Orders are shipped Free On Board (FOB) Origin unless otherwise noted.
International Shipping
- Orders placed using the international checkout button are fulfilled by FedEX Cross Border.
- All international packages are subject to relevant duties and taxes.
- A refusal of the shipment will result in return shipping charges which will be deducted from any refund.
- Typical delivery time is 2 - 5 days in transit depending on destination country.
- Next Day delivery service is not available.
- Date specific shipping is not available for international orders.

RETURN POLICY:
If you are not happy, we are not happy.

We strive to ensure you are satisfied with your purchase but understand that sometimes it's not a good fit. Below are our policies:
- No return will be accepted without a RMA (Return Material Authorization) number. Any return without a RMA number will be refused.
- You are responsible for return shipping costs.
- No refund or exchanges are allowed after 30 days from the invoice date.
- Returns are subject up to a 20% restocking fee. Most of the time restocking fees are nominal.
- All returned items must be 100% complete, in original resalable packaging, in resalable condition, with all packaging, manuals, registration cards, accessories, UPC codes intact, and software.
- Software products that use a serial number and not a dongle key can only be replaced with the same title and version if found to be defective.
- No returns on replacement light bulbs.
- No returns on special order items not listed on our online catalog.
- No returns or exchanges for any non-domestic shipments.
- Shipping charges and order processing fees are not refundable. We recommend you select a shipping carrier that provides a shipment tracking option and insurance. Refusal of a shipment will result in return shipping charges which will be deducted from any refund.
