Digital Information continues to raise the bar in quality, performance and innovation. They have announced plans to reveal an unprecedented print concept during Drupa on May 3 - 16. A double-sided imposition proofer and inkjet printer known as the PP490. Using this state of the art impo-proofer you will now have the ability to automate the output of double-sided:
- photo book pages
- color proofs
- art reproductions
- point-of-sale prints
Digital Information's PP490 was built to work alongside the highly popular Epson Stylus Pro 4900 inkjet printer. Digital Information has promised to deliver the highest-quality double-sided printout up to DIN A2 or 17" x 22". This remarkable tool is perfect for anyone aiming to meet the highest-caliber of excellence in double-sided printed products that require automatic output on the front and back.
The PP490 works with inkjet paper sheets. A intuitive pneumatic system picks up the sheets from a compartment which holds up to 500 sheets and transports each individual sheet to the printer. Once the impo-proofer has completed the first side of the sheet, the sheet is then turned around and fed back through the printer. Once both sides are completed the machine places the new printout into a tray for collection.
The new Preproofer 7700, 7800, 7900, 9700, 9890 and 990 models ensure accuracy front and back using real-time video imagery. The new control system continuously governs and modifies the print using a 128 bit code printed on the side of the media by the first printer.
