Techkon Digital MicroScope SpectroPlate
Without quality control in pre-press, consistancy and repeatability are severly compromised. The Techkon SpectroPlate optimizes pre-press quality because it is specifically designed to measure printing plates. The Techkon SpectroPlate precisely reads any screen size and screen technology, as well as measures the right dot transfer on offset printing plates. Also, the Techkon SpectroPlate is ideally suited for the G7 or GRACoL 7 press calibration method.

The SpectroPlate Start is for dot percentage measurements on all popular types of printing plates, film and CMYK print. The SpectroPlate Expert captures transfer curves and can analyse the geometric shape of the dots within the device. The SpectroPlate All-Vision features all the features of the Start and Expert as well low contrast processless printing plates.

What is G7?
GRACoL 7 or the G7 Process is a departure from using density solely for press calibration, now including spectrophotometry to measure neutrality. The result is an improved color balance across multiple printing presses and printing technologies including Web, Sheetfed, Newspaper, and Flexographic.
