The 30" screen with its native resolution of 2560 x 1600 gives you more than twice as many pixels to work with as a 20 or 21 inch monitor with a 1600 x 1200 resolution. Open up your DTP, CAD/CAM, graphic and web design applications and work in comfort without having to worry about your windows and palettes overlapping. The latest FlexScan utilizes Adobe RGB, and can be calibrated down to sRGB, has a 12-bit look-up table with a color palette of 68 billion colors, as well as a Digital Uniformity Equalizer (DUE) function corrects brightness and chroma uniformity errors.

Dual DVI-D inputs and Integrated ASIC
Dual DVI-D inputs (digital) are included for connecting to two PCs. One input supports dual link for displaying resolutions up to the monitor’s maximum of 2560 × 1600, and the other input is single link for resolutions up to 1920 × 1200. The single link input supports high bandwidth digital content protection (HDCP) for viewing of content from HDCP-equipped devices. The FlexScan SX3031W comes equipped with EIZO’s latest ASIC (Application Specific Integrated Circuit). The ASIC has a 12-bit look-up table with a total color palette of 68 billion colors from which the most appropriate 16.7 million are selected. The ASIC also features 16-bit internal processing for smooth display of grayscale tones, which brings out details, especially in dark areas of an image. Furthermore, the ASIC includes a Digital Uniformity Equalizer (DUE) function that corrects the brightness and chroma uniformity errors characteristic of LCD panels.

The FlexScan SX3031W comes quipped with EIZO’s latest integrated circuit which has a 12-bit look-up table with a color palette of 68 billion colors from which the most appropriate 16.7 million (8-bits) are displayed. It also features 16-bit internal processing for smooth display of grayscale tones, especially in dark areas of an image which typically are difficult for LCD monitors to display without banding.

The OSD menu offers adjustment of brightness, gamma, saturation, hue, gain and color temperature from 4,000 K to 10,000 K in 500 K increments. For fine-tuning of even a single color, the hue and saturation settings for red, green, blue, cyan, magenta, and yellow can be adjusted independently.

6 ms Midtone Response Time
To enhance moving image playback capabilities, an overdrive circuit is included. This circuit vastly improves the LCD panel’s response time for changing between midtones or gray levels, which is necessary to display color images without blurring.
Scale Non-Native Resolutions to a Full Screen
When working in resolutions less than the native resolution or aspect ratios different than 16:10 you can still view work in full screen with the scaling function. This is especially useful when using the monitor’s single link input. You can then smoothen or sharpen the image in five increments. You can also enlarge your image while maintaining your aspect ratio if preferred.
Fine Contrast and Brightness Stabilization Function
For optimum viewing of different kinds of content, EIZO’s Fine Contrast function includes modes for office applications (Text mode), video clips (Movie mode), graphics (Picture mode), web browsing (sRGB mode), and user-defined settings (Custom mode). Switching between modes is done by pressing a button on the front panel or by using the bundled ScreenManager Pro for LCD software, which supports automatic mode switching such as changing to Text mode when an e-mail application is selected.
Ensures stable brightness - necessary for the proper display of color – with EIZO patented technology. A drift correction sensor quickly stabilizes the brightness level after startup or coming out of power saving mode. Furthermore, the monitor detects and automatically compensates for brightness changes caused by surrounding temperatures and the passage of time.
