Specifications for Web Offset Publications (SWOP) was initiated in 1975 as a response to the printing industry's need for uniform specifications and tolerances to ensure consistency and quality of advertising material in publications. This is one of the tools that SWOP has developed in support of this mission.
GATF/SWOP Digital Proofing Bars are supplied on CD in Encapsulated PostScript (EPS) file format for either Macintosh or IBM operating systems. Because the color bars are EPS files they can be output to any screen ruling.
